Dissertation Structure

There are some conventions that guide the structuring of dissertations in different subjects. The following is the commonly used structure:

You should also check the dissertation requirements for your programme, including formatting guidelines and submission arrangements. If anything is unclear, please contact your programme administrator or course coordinator.

Ethics Application

If your research involves human participants, materials or data that are not publicly available, you may need ethical approval. Please consult the UofG Ethics Guidance in regarding the ethics application process for undergraduate and postgraduate taught students or contact your programme administrative officer if you have anything not clear.
